Session overview:
The 4D or Business Trajectory concept is one of the cornerstones of the future ATM system. In this technical workshop, SESAR specialists in the field – from the members’ organisation and the SESAR Joint Undertaking – presented to an ATM and industry oriented audience the overall concept of 4D Trajectory management and its potential to increase trajectory management accuracy into the overall ATM network as well as to maximise performance thanks to active air and ground synchronisation. One highlight of the workshop was a presentation on the results of the first i4D trials carried out in February 2012.
